General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for the rental of Salzhaus Amsoldingen (as at Q1 2025)
- Conclusion of contract
With the booking of the vacation home by the tenant and the written
confirmation by the landlord, a legally valid rental agreement is concluded.

- Rental price and terms of payment
- The rental price and any additional costs (e.g. cleaning, tourist tax) are specified in the rental agreement.
- A deposit of 25% is due upon booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival.
- For short-term bookings, the total amount is due immediately.
- Cancellation conditions
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation fees are:
- Up to 40 before arrival: full refund
- From 39 days to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the rental price
- Less than 15 days before arrival: no refund
- Arrival and departure
- Check-in: from 15:00
- Check-out: until 11:00 am
- The house must be left swept clean, dishes must be cleaned and garbage disposed of in accordance with the instructions.
- Key return: The house key must be handed over at the time of return.
- Use of the vacation home
- The vacation home may only be used by the number of persons specified in the contract.
- Pets are only allowed in exceptional cases and must be registered in advance and accepted by the landlord.
- Smoking is not permitted in the house.
- Street shoes are not permitted on the upper floors:
- Slippers are available.
- Waste separation required in accordance with local regulations.
- Damage to the inventory or the accommodation must be reported immediately.
- Use of W-Lan at your own risk.
- Liability
- The tenant is liable for any damage caused during the rental period.
- The lessor is not liable for unforeseeable events such as power failures, natural disasters or restrictions due to official measures.
- Use of the vacation home is at your own risk.
- The tenant is liable for data loss or cyber attacks on its own devices.
- The tenant is liable for damage to the IT infrastructure in the vacation home in the event of cyber attacks through his own fault.
- House rules
- Noise and disruptive behavior must be avoided during quiet times.
- There may occasionally be noise emissions from the regional weapons range. The landlord is not liable for these emissions.
- Open fires and barbecues are only permitted in the designated areas.
- Smoking is permitted outside the vacation home and ashtrays are available.
- Data protection
The tenant’s personal data is used exclusively for the

- Final provisions
- Amendments and additions to the contract must be made in writing.
- The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the lessor in Thun, Switzerland.
- Swiss law applies.
