Arrival

Amsoldingen is conveniently located and easily accessible from all major cities in Switzerland:

From Bern: Via the A6 in approx. 30 minutes (exit Thun-Süd, then 10 minutes by road).
From Zurich: Via the A1 and A6 in approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.
From Geneva: Via the A1 in approx. 2 hours.
From Lucerne: Via the A2 and A8 in approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.

Free parking is available directly at the Salzhaus.

Thanks to the good public transport connections, the Salzhaus is also easily accessible without a car:

From Bern: IC train to Thun in 30 minutes, then bus to Amsoldingen in 12 minutes.
From Zurich: Direct IC train to Thun in 1 hour 30 minutes, then bus connection.
From Geneva: IC train to Bern, on to Thun in approx. 2 hours, then bus.

The Amsoldingen Dorf bus stop is just a few minutes’ walk from the Salzhaus.

The following airports are ideal for guests from abroad or more distant regions:

Bern-Belp (30 minutes drive) – The nearest airport with regional connections.
Zurich Airport (1.5 hours’ drive) – Switzerland’s largest international airport with a direct rail link to Thun.
Geneva Airport (2 hours drive) – Ideal for international guests with numerous long-haul flights.

From Zurich or Geneva airport, you can travel comfortably by train to Thun, from where you can continue by bus to Amsoldingen.
